Private equity firm Sojourner Consumer Partners has carved out certain assets and personal care brands of Lornamead North America from Lornamead, Inc. and Lornamead Group Limited, subsidiaries of Meiyume, owned by Hong Kong–based LH Pegasus. Sojourner aims to position Lornamead as an independent entity to support future growth.WHO: Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Tonawanda, New York, Lornamead, Inc. is a US-based personal and oral care company with a long-standing heritage of trusted brands, including Yardley London, Finesse, Aqua Net, and Lypsyl. The company is also one of the largest private-label toothpaste and oral analgesic companies in the US.Founded in 2023 by Rob DesMarais, Zach Johnson, and Roger Dickhout, Sojourner Consumer Partners is a private equity firm focused exclusively on the consumer sector with offices in New Jersey and Toronto (Ontario).WHY: LH Pegasus is focusing on Meiyume as a full-service beauty and personal care contract manufacturer with end-to-end capabilities—the divestment reflects this strategy.
